Terms of Use
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
Welcome to BidMyFix.
These Customer Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BidMyFix website, application and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
The Platform is operated by BidMyFix Inc., operating as BidMyFix (“BidMyFix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, submitting a repair request, accepting a repair provider's offer, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Platform.
1. What BidMyFix Does
BidMyFix operates an online marketplace that helps vehicle owners connect with independent automotive repair businesses and service providers.
Customers may use the Platform to:
- describe an automotive repair or maintenance need;
- upload relevant information or photographs;
- receive responses, estimates or offers from participating repair providers;
- communicate with participating providers;
- compare available options; and
- select a provider they wish to contact or hire.
BidMyFix facilitates connections between customers and independent repair providers.
BidMyFix does not itself perform automotive repairs, inspections, maintenance or diagnostic services.
2. Independent Repair Providers
Repair providers appearing on BidMyFix operate independently from BidMyFix.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, a repair provider is not:
- an employee of BidMyFix;
- an agent of BidMyFix;
- a subcontractor performing repairs on behalf of BidMyFix;
- a franchisee of BidMyFix; or
- a partner or joint venturer of BidMyFix.
Repair providers determine their own repair methods, pricing, staffing, working hours, availability and business operations.
When you choose to obtain services from a repair provider, the repair services are provided by that repair provider and not by BidMyFix.
3. The Customer-Provider Relationship
When a customer selects a repair provider through BidMyFix, any resulting agreement for inspection, diagnosis, maintenance or repair services is between the customer and the selected repair provider.
BidMyFix is not the repairer.
The repair provider is responsible for matters relating to its services, including:
- vehicle inspection and diagnosis;
- repair recommendations;
- repair methods;
- labour;
- parts;
- estimates;
- final pricing;
- applicable taxes;
- repair authorization;
- workmanship;
- warranties;
- completion dates;
- vehicle storage;
- customer property; and
- compliance with applicable law.
Customers should discuss and confirm the final scope of work directly with the repair provider before repair work begins.
4. Pilot Program
BidMyFix is currently operating as an early-stage pilot service.
Features, processes and participating repair providers may change as the Platform is tested and developed.
Some functions that may later be offered by BidMyFix, including integrated payment processing, repair guarantees or other services, may not be available during the pilot.
Use of the pilot does not guarantee that you will receive any particular number of responses or repair offers.
5. No BidMyFix Fees During the Pilot
BidMyFix does not currently charge customers a fee for submitting repair requests, receiving provider responses or selecting a provider through the Platform.
BidMyFix also does not currently charge participating providers for pilot referrals or jobs.
BidMyFix may introduce fees in the future.
Any future fees will be disclosed before they apply, and these Terms may be updated accordingly.
6. Payments
BidMyFix does not currently process, receive, hold or distribute customer payments for automotive repair services.
Customers pay repair providers directly using payment methods agreed upon between the customer and provider.
BidMyFix is not responsible for processing those payments.
The repair provider is responsible for:
- invoicing;
- collecting payment;
- collecting applicable taxes;
- providing receipts;
- addressing payment disputes;
- providing approved refunds; and
- maintaining its own financial and tax records.
Customers should verify the final amount and payment terms with the repair provider before authorizing work.
7. Repair Requests
Customers are responsible for providing reasonably accurate information when submitting a repair request.
This may include:
- vehicle make;
- model;
- year;
- mileage;
- symptoms;
- warning lights;
- known mechanical issues;
- requested services;
- photographs; and
- other information reasonably relevant to the repair request.
Customers should not intentionally provide false or misleading information.
A customer's description of a problem does not constitute a professional diagnosis.
8. Provider Responses and Estimates
Providers may respond to repair requests with pricing information, questions, estimated costs, availability or other service information.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, information provided before the provider physically inspects or properly diagnoses the vehicle should be treated as a preliminary estimate rather than a guaranteed final diagnosis.
The provider may determine that additional or different work is required after examining the vehicle.
However, repair providers remain responsible for complying with applicable Ontario requirements relating to estimates, customer authorization and changes in repair costs.
Customers should not assume that accepting a BidMyFix response automatically authorizes every additional repair or cost later suggested by a provider.
9. Customer Authorization for Repairs
Customers should review the provider's repair estimate and authorize the work before repairs begin.
The repair provider is responsible for obtaining legally sufficient customer authorization where required.
If the repair provider recommends additional work after the initial authorization, customers should review the proposed additional work and price before authorizing it.
BidMyFix may maintain Platform records of communications, requests or selections, but such records do not transfer the repair provider's legal obligations to BidMyFix.
10. Selecting a Repair Provider
Customers are responsible for deciding which repair provider, if any, they wish to hire.
Customers may consider information including:
- quoted or estimated price;
- location;
- availability;
- reviews;
- qualifications;
- experience;
- warranty terms;
- business information; and
- communications from the provider.
BidMyFix does not guarantee that the lowest-priced provider is the most appropriate provider for a particular repair.
11. Provider Information and Verification
BidMyFix may collect or display information about participating providers, such as:
- business name;
- location;
- contact information;
- services offered;
- customer reviews;
- insurance information;
- certifications;
- licences; or
- other business information.
Where BidMyFix identifies a provider as “verified,” “screened,” or using similar language, the Platform will aim to explain what that designation means.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the presence of a provider on BidMyFix does not constitute a guarantee by BidMyFix of that provider's workmanship, pricing, qualifications, conduct or future performance.
Customers may independently verify provider credentials if they consider them important.
12. Repair Quality and Workmanship
The selected repair provider is responsible for the quality and safety of the repair services it performs.
BidMyFix does not currently provide an independent workmanship warranty or repair guarantee.
Any warranty relating to labour, parts or workmanship is provided by the repair provider or applicable parts manufacturer, unless BidMyFix expressly states otherwise.
Customers should ask the provider about warranty terms before approving a repair.
13. Complaints and Disputes With Providers
If a customer experiences a problem relating to:
- workmanship;
- damage;
- pricing;
- additional charges;
- delays;
- warranties;
- refunds;
- parts;
- vehicle condition; or
- other repair-related issues,
the customer should first contact the repair provider.
BidMyFix may assist customers and providers with communication or complaint resolution.
However, providing such assistance does not make BidMyFix responsible for the underlying repair or automatically require BidMyFix to reimburse the customer.
BidMyFix may review complaints and may suspend or remove providers where appropriate.
14. Emergencies and Vehicle Safety
BidMyFix should not be used as a substitute for emergency services.
If a vehicle may be unsafe to operate, customers should not drive it solely for the purpose of obtaining a BidMyFix repair quote.
Customers should obtain towing or emergency assistance where appropriate.
BidMyFix does not remotely determine whether a vehicle is safe to drive.
15. Customer Responsibilities
When using BidMyFix, customers agree to:
- provide truthful information;
- communicate respectfully with providers;
- not submit fraudulent repair requests;
- not impersonate another person;
- not misuse provider information;
- not interfere with Platform security;
- not manipulate ratings or reviews;
- not use the Platform for unlawful purposes; and
- comply with applicable laws.
16. Accounts
BidMyFix may require customers to create an account.
Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information and for activity occurring through their account.
Customers should notify BidMyFix promptly if they believe their account has been accessed without authorization.
BidMyFix may suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security concerns or violations of these Terms.
17. Reviews
BidMyFix does not currently operate its own in-platform customer review system.
Where ratings or review counts are shown on the Platform, they are provided by third-party services (such as Google) and reflect that third party's own review practices, not reviews collected directly by BidMyFix.
If BidMyFix introduces its own review or rating feature, this section will be updated to describe the rules that apply to it, including a prohibition on knowingly false information, threats, harassment, discriminatory content, confidential personal information, unlawful material, and content posted in exchange for undisclosed compensation.
18. Photos, Messages and Other Customer Content
Customers may submit vehicle photographs, descriptions, messages, reviews and other content through the Platform.
Customers retain ownership of their original content.
By submitting content to BidMyFix, customers grant BidMyFix permission to store, process, display and transmit the content as reasonably necessary to:
- operate the Platform;
- connect the customer with providers;
- provide support;
- investigate complaints;
- improve the service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Customers should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive or confidential information.
19. Privacy
BidMyFix collects and uses personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Customers should review the Privacy Policy to understand what information BidMyFix collects, why it is collected, how it may be shared and how it is protected.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the overall rules governing use of the Platform.
20. Third-Party Services
BidMyFix may use third-party services for functions such as:
- website hosting;
- maps;
- email;
- text messaging;
- analytics;
- customer support;
- identity verification; and
- other Platform functionality.
Those third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
21. Platform Availability
BidMyFix aims to provide reliable access to the Platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- maintenance;
- technical problems;
- internet failures;
- security incidents;
- third-party service interruptions; or
- other circumstances.
BidMyFix may modify, suspend or discontinue features during the pilot.
22. No Guarantee of Provider Availability
BidMyFix does not guarantee:
- that any provider will respond to a repair request;
- that a provider will accept a job;
- that quoted availability will remain available;
- that a customer and provider will reach an agreement;
- that a particular repair can be performed; or
- that a repair will be completed within a particular period.
23. Platform Information
Information available through BidMyFix is intended to facilitate connections between customers and providers.
BidMyFix does not provide professional automotive, engineering, legal, insurance or financial advice.
Vehicle diagnoses, repair recommendations and technical advice should come from appropriately qualified professionals.
24. Limitation of BidMyFix's Role
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BidMyFix is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent repair providers.
This includes claims relating to:
- repair workmanship;
- incorrect diagnosis;
- defective parts;
- damage to a vehicle;
- personal property left in a vehicle;
- personal injury arising from repair work;
- provider pricing;
- provider delays;
- warranties offered by providers;
- provider tax obligations; or
- provider violations of applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection or other law.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BidMyFix will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from use of the Platform or dealings between customers and independent providers.
Any limitation of liability will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
26. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, customers agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising from their own:
- unlawful use of the Platform;
- fraudulent activity;
- intentional misrepresentations;
- infringement of another person's rights; or
- material violation of these Terms.
This section is not intended to eliminate rights provided to consumers under applicable law.
27. Intellectual Property
The BidMyFix name, website, software, design, logos, branding, databases and original Platform content belong to BidMyFix or its licensors.
Customers may use the Platform for its intended personal or business purposes but may not, without permission:
- copy substantial portions of the Platform;
- reverse engineer protected software except where legally permitted;
- scrape or systematically extract Platform data;
- impersonate BidMyFix;
- misuse BidMyFix branding; or
- reproduce BidMyFix intellectual property for commercial purposes.
28. Suspension and Termination
BidMyFix may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the Platform where reasonably necessary because of:
- fraud;
- illegal activity;
- serious abuse;
- security risks;
- repeated violations of these Terms; or
- conduct that materially harms users, providers or the Platform.
Customers may stop using BidMyFix at any time.
29. Changes to These Terms
Because BidMyFix is an early-stage service, these Terms may change as the Platform develops.
Where changes are material, BidMyFix will provide reasonable notice as appropriate.
The version and effective date of these Terms should be displayed on the Platform.
Continued use after properly communicated changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
30. Electronic Communications
Customers may receive service-related communications necessary for operation of their account or repair request, including:
- account confirmations;
- repair-request updates;
- provider responses;
- security notices;
- customer-support messages; and
- policy or service notices.
Promotional communications will be handled separately in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
31. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer rights or remedies that apply under applicable law.
32. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
33. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with BidMyFix's Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement governing the customer's use of the Platform.
Separate agreements between customers and repair providers relating to automotive services remain agreements between those parties.
34. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancelling an appointment is free, any time, for both customers and repair providers.
Cancelling inside 24 hours of the appointment is allowed, but a reason must be given so the other side knows what happened.
BidMyFix does not currently charge a fee for cancelling or rescheduling.
A repair provider may state its own late-cancellation policy on its profile (for example, a call-out fee for a missed mobile visit). Customers will see it, and must acknowledge it, before accepting that provider's quote.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments (2 within a 90-day period) may pause a customer's ability to submit new requests until the customer contacts BidMyFix. BidMyFix will explain why and how to reach support if this happens.
